Almost after a decade after it released its first version, the Microsoft Corporation dominates the world's personal computer market. The Microsoft Corporation named this operating system WINDOWS because it means an opened window for your business or even just for your personal use.
On the other hand, Linux, an open source operating system from the UNIX corporation comes to the knowledge of the people. Linux means "kernel".

-Linus Torvalds,creator, Linux kernel.
Now, Let us compare the two operating systems:
-->On Protection from viruses and malwares :
Linux wins this one for it is an open source operating system, meaning a community of computer specialists and experts are working hand in hand to know and defend their system from such irregularities. Plus, Windows is more popular, no wonder that almost all virus-makers are after it.
-->On being practical :
Another point for Linux, as we know, it is a free software. Compared to Windows, which you are required to purchase your own to access their product, (except of course to those pirates out there), obviously Linux gets the check. Another thing, a single Linux software could be used by a multiple number of computers.
-->On programs and other services :
Windows has Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher and many others. Linux has OpenOffice Presentation, OpenOffice Spreadsheet and OpenOffice Word Processor. Linux has the basics and Microsoft has the complexes, with its more detailed programs. Windows has Adobe and Linux got Gimp. Windows has the media player while Linux has the VLC player. Windows has the notepad and Linux has the text editor. So, with this part, I think it's a tie.
-->On the graphics :
We are all familiar with the appearance of a Windows-powered computer, that is a big advantage. The icons and graphics used in the Linux system is quite unrecognizable for some. So, one point for Windows.
SO NOW,YOU DECIDE:
will WINDOWS continue to DOMINATE computer world?
OR
will LINUX drink Windows up to its last drop?
